well the only workaround that I could think about, out of my head, would be to add a new field to write the position number, or a csv upload with product id, category id and position. SOmething like that? WOuld it be quicker?

As DannyR says, the absolute time consuming process is when trying to rearrange more than 50 products. There is no solution anywhere in prestashop forum. I spend 2 days! to rearrange 900 products in very good order (fashion clothes). Nemops you would absoluterly great if you could assist in such field.

This is a real pain in the ass if you have more than 50 products. Try to move the last one to the first place. It would take forever!

You know the reason if you select a different sort, (eg ID ordered by more recent) the column ‘position’ disappears? is a bug ?
